Senior Photos time!

Yes, it’s that time of year when seniors start booking their senior photo shoots in earnest! Yearbook deadlines are fast approaching and what better season to have beautiful portraits taken than Fall? Of course we have been shooting senior portraits all year long and since we are a wee bit behind on everything just now I haven’t posted any of these sessions to the blog… So I’m going to start changing that right now!ali 4ali 3ali 2ali 1

Estes Park, Colorado Wedding

Last weekend we had one of those Colorado Wedding days that leaves you guessing for weather! The wedding was in beautiful Estes Park, which is at the east entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, and snow was looking pretty likely as we drove up the canyon. When we arrived at the Taharaa Mountain Lodge the rain was starting to fall and we were praying for just a couple of breaks in the weather to get the shots that we wanted for the day. Amazingly the skies cleared at just the right times and we were able to capture some beautiful photos of the bride and groom. The next morning Estes awoke to a snowy landscape… so we slipped it in under the wire!Bride in fall colorsbride and groom by St Malobride and groom Longs in the backgroundWalking along Lily lake

The Great Sand Dunes in Southern Colorado

Our visit to the great sand dunes proved to be a highlight for the boys… you know, boys and mountains of sand! I couldn’t resist taking a shot of Daniel against that backdrop, he looked like a National Geo. photographer against the barren hills of sand. And I guess he thought the same… so I’ll post a couple photos of us shooting and all the fun that mountains of sand provide 2 little boys!Sandy fun!Daniel shooting at the Sand DunesThe boys and a sandy landscapereeta

Crestone, CO Wedding

Hello all! Daniel and I are back in the swing of things after our trip last weekend to photograph a beautiful wedding in Crestone, Colorado. This is a little town nestled against the Sangre de Cristo Mountains which provide a stunning backdrop for the area. We really enjoyed our visit to this part of the state and getting to know Ashley & Eli and their families better! The day after the wedding we all took a short trip to the Great Sand Dunes for a quick photoshoot of the bride and groom and some friends and family. That is quite a landscape as well!! we’re off the the next wedding tomorrow!!
