We had a great time photographing Cody & Brittany’s wedding Saturday! It was held at the Belmar Center in Lakewood and Brittany really poured her heart into the details which made everything spectacular! This was our first time to shoot at the Belmar Center and it was great! The wedding coordinator there, Phoebe, was awesome to work with and really made the whole event relaxed and beautiful. We had a great day with just a bit of lightly falling snow toward the end… beautiful couple… fun crowd… it doesn’t get better than that!

As it turns out, Grace is way into snow!! She begs to go out in it when it fall and LOVES to eat it! I would classify her as a real Colorado girl which makes her mama’s heart proud:) She is definitely not like her brothers were at this age… they were distinctly anti-snow!

I find all kinds of things inspiring… in fact it can sometimes seem to be my downfall as I discover new techniques or area of art that I would love to explore! I constantly diverge into other realms of art and momentarily entertain the idea that perhaps I could be a….you name it! Daniel is constantly bringing me back to the art in hand… photography! Oh yeah… maybe I could be a photographer!! And while we both love the art to be found in people primarily… every now and again you have to look for inspiration in other things… places… vistas… experiences. There is a considerable amount of art to be found in the pattern of grasses for instance…

All that to say, what inspires you?

Hey all! Sometimes we get so caught up in the general production and size of weddings that I forget to post any portrait shoots!! And that’s just not right, cause portraits are so much fun! So I’m going to spend the next couple of posts on portraits! So stay posted… (ha ha)!
